The latest bus running from UBC-O to Vernon is at 8 p.m. However, some labs run until 9:00 p.m. Therefore, it would be essential for BC transit to integrate an extra departure from UBC-O to Vernon that leaves the campus at 9:00 p.m. Please sign below if you support this and once sufficient amount of signatures are met, we will move forward to UBCSUO, BC Transit, and the City of Vernon.

I was just sitting in the lab thinking about how ridiculous it is that I have to rush out before finishing my work just to catch the bus home. It is honestly absurd that anyone thinks a student can magically teleport off campus the second the clock hits eight especially when the labs are usually booked solid until well after that. I have been emailing the transit office and getting absolutely nowhere but I am still trying to find the right person to actually look at these signatures because they have to listen eventually.

I honestly never thought this would gain this much steam but here we are and it just feels surreal. It is genuinely wild to see that so many of you are stuck in the exact same boat with these late labs and I am just so glad we are finally talking about how frustrating this commute is.

There's been many times that I've had to drive the route because of commitments ending just after 8pm.
I've often wanted to take part in the ubco Ballroom club but the classes end at 9pm and the last bus is 8pm plus I've had to pollute the environment by not carpooling on occasion for late labs and group projects.
Not only would this be helpful to Vernon commuters, but it would also be helpful to those who want to go to/from there safely in the evening to meet friends, party, etc.
I have had to drop courses in the past due to the lack of late-night bussing options back to Vernon. I deeply hope this petition has a positive impact!
Route 90 is hugely instrumental for those living in Vernon and commuting to UBC Okanagan every weekday. The schedule is acceptable for the majority of the year, however midterms and finals are often scheduled outside of regular hours and go as late at 21:00. I believe an investigation into the usefulness of a 21:00 bus should be done, especially since all UBC students pay into the transit system as part of their tuition.

I have been unable to take some classes because the course ends at 9pm. Even if an earlier bus could be swapped for a 9pm bus, it would be fantastic and allow me to attend courses, events and club activities I would otherwise be unable to attend.
