I'm a Trent @ UOIT student, and, like many of you, am outraged and the 100 dollar fee we all must pay for the U-pass. When this item was discussed and voted upon, we were told that those who purchased parking passes would be refunded the 100 dollar U-pass fee. This made the vote very simple, as there really was no reason to vote against it. Now, in a rather harsh statement, the Student Association proclaims that there was never such a rebate, only a one-time 'gift' of the 100 dollars returned to those who purchased a (500 dollar) parking pass. I have the poster that hung on the walls of our school, which clearly states those who purchase parking passes would be rebated the U-pass cost. There is no mention of this being a one-time deal. I encourage you to sign, if you want the Student Association to live up to their promise, and give our 100 dollars back.
