Our guidelines for prom are sexist. Guys can come to sporting events naked, but girls can't wear a two piece prom dress? Girls are not allowed to show a few inches of skin for a night they look forward to since they were little. This is ridiculous.
Our school guidelines regarding clothing is SO sexist. Boys can go shirtless to sporting events but a girl cant show a few inches of skin for one night? Girls look forward to prom for 2 years and when the time finally comes, there are ridiculous restrictions that shame girls for showing their stomach.
2 piece dresses are gorgeous & they're not any more inappropriate than what some girls wear to school on a daily basis! It's our prom & if we fall in love with a dress that we can't wear it ruins the whole expirence!
Fashion changes over the decades, this is what is currently popular, especially with designer brands. Going prom dress shopping is fun, but it honestly sucks to go to prom in the dress you picked only because the one you really wanted was "inappropriate". Also they were allowed to wear prom dresses with their stomach showing in the 80's at North, so I don't know what the big deal is now. Literally every school can wear them, BUT us.
Let us wear two piece prom dresses with certain circumstances, it doesn't have to be 100 percent showing on the stomach!

It's better to show a little skin on tummy than it is cleavage, most 2 piece doesn't show any cleavage!
