TWIN SISTERS GUN CLUB PETITION

TO SOLANO COUNTY DEPARTMENTS OF PLANNING AND RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

WE the undersigned, voice our common concern over issuing a permit to the Twin Sisters Gun Club.

As residents of Solano and Napa Counties, we wish to preserve the quality of our lives and the value of our properties. The expansion of the Twin Sisters Gun Club threatens both. Changing a one-time family camp to commercial weapon ranges with explosive devices, semi-automatic and automatic weapons fire constitutes an unacceptable intrusion into what is otherwise a quiet, peaceful region of Solano County.

Wildfire, noise, traffic, environmental degradation, potential watershed contamination, safety and the disruption of wildlife are all effects of the current and proposed activities at the Twin Sisters Gun Club. We oppose permitting, licensing, zoning or allowing the expansion of a small rural club to include commercial weapon ranges which includes tournaments, obstacle courses, and citizen based tactical squadrons.
