We, the undersigned, petition the CCSF Board of Trustees to acknowledge that Board member Steve Ngo has engaged in divisive, bullying language and tactics toward many members of the City College community, especially faculty. He is failing in his charged task to treat CCSF community members “with courtesy, and respect and civility.” He has chosen to represent a very vocal select few rather than a broader cross-section of the college community. He has not worked to “Ensure an atmosphere in which controversial issues can be presented fairly and in which the dignity of each individual is maintained.” Instead, he has polarized community discussion and created an environment in which Board and faculty no longer work collaboratively but as opponents. We call on the Board of Trustees to direct Trustee Ngo to abide by the Board’s Code of Ethics and Responsibilities (quoted above and linked in sidebar). Trustee Ngo must cease his polarizing rhetoric and bullying tactics.

I have been hearing from more faculty members who have experienced this same behavior and the pattern of intimidation is clear. Call the other Board members today to demand they enforce the Code of Ethics. Post the link to this petition on your Facebook wall right now to keep the pressure on.

The momentum behind this push to hold Trustee Ngo accountable is clear proof that our community refuses to accept bullying as the standard for leadership. Now is the time to turn this energy into direct action by emailing your representative to demand they address this behavior at the next board meeting.

Finally someone said it. The way he talks to people at these meetings is unprofessional and frankly just embarrassing.
this man makes it impossible to even have a conversation about how to improve the college. way too divisive.
Bullying tactics have no place at CCSF. He needs to remember who he works for and treat everyone with some basic respect.
CCSF deserves better leadership than this. I am so tired of the drama he creates every time he opens his mouth.
Ngo needs to go. We are tired of the bullying and the constant games being played at the expense of our students.
