As a resident of Chatfield Farms, I am signing this petition to have the board approve the use of the clubhouse for a travel club for the residents of the community. This club will present topics on travel at its meetings as well as put together travel groups to various destinations at a discounted rate. We understand that any commission paid to a travel agent will be refunded to group participants. . We accept that there will be "Tour Conductor" compensation given to the organizer/travel agent to offset costs incurred in putting travel together.

I am currently drafting a formal proposal to outline the logistics and liability coverage for the travel club meetings. Once the document is finalized I will be requesting a slot on the agenda for the next board meeting to present our plan.

The Vacation Club is a GOOD THING for Chatfield Farms. The next Board meeting should have The Vacation Club and the use of our Club House on the agenda. A vote by the residents should be taken to determine using the Club House as a meeting place. Exception to rules are a fact of life, even here at Chatfield Farms. Since my residency if have personally witnessed the bending of the rules for certain events. Selective ruling of the rule of law is called an exception. What does the residence say about this? Let's be heard a the next Board meeting!
We feel like the travel club is being discriminated against . The residents here in Chatfield Farms own the clubhouse and should be able to use it at our discretion. The travel club has no bearing on whether one person is out for profit but it is a group of residents that want cheap grip travel. It is shameful that we are being shut out of our rights to utilize this facility
Sounds ok with us
Residents have the right to use our community clubhouse. For years, there have been inconsistent guidelines and restrictions regarding clubhouse activities that have been ruled by the Board and Social Activities Committee. This also applies to outdoor and neighborhood events. Take a look at what other 55+ communities offer and allow. Embrace, HELP MAKE IDEAS WORK that are beneficial to the Farm.
Disagree with the boards decision
This is proper use of our community club house. Isn't that why we have it?
Perhaps it's time the clubhouse use guide lines be revisited to reflect the current and future needs of our community.

We disagree with the decision to not allow use of the clubhouse for the travel club. The board has approved the use of the Clubhouse for the Craft Fair, Health Fairs and several EG Homes events, including the upcoming wine tasting. All these events are great and should be allowed to continue, the travel club should be given the same consideration. We are concerned about the inconsistent decisions being made regarding the appropriate usage of the clubhouse. This is a growing community of adults, with new points of view, perhaps it is time to revisit how decisions are being made on clubhouse usage.
