WE NEED A TRAFFIC LIGHT AT ENTRANCE TO 48 SOUTH SERVICE ROAD, MELVILLE, NY
Turning left out of the parking lot of 48 South Service Road in Melville, onto Round Swamp Road, is extremely dangerous. Round Swamp Road has a large volume of cars, especially at certain times of the day. Leaving work between 5:00 and 6:00 presents a challenge. Often, you need to rely on other drivers traveling north to stop and let you out, and even then, making that left is challenging as there are drivers coming from the other direction. I, as well as several of my colleagues, have been in dangerous situations trying to make that turn.
There is a traffic light at the corner of Round Swamp Road and the LIE service Road, but that does not help the issue. We need a light directly at the entrance/exit to the parking lot.

I just spent another ten minutes staring at that intersection today and honestly it feels like a miracle that there has not been a worse accident yet because people are flying around that corner so fast. Everyone keeps telling me their own horror stories about trying to get out of the lot which basically confirms this is a constant nightmare for anyone just trying to go home after a long day.

Trying to get out of that lot at 5pm is a total nightmare. I have seen way to many close calls there lately.
A light is needed asap before someone gets hurt or worse killed, best to be proactive before the later happens this is a tragedy waiting to happen.
Exit left onto Round Swamp Road is an accident waiting to happen.

PLEASE put a light in here. So sick of taking my life in my hands just to turn left onto Round Swamp.
