Mercy School Institute is requesting a traffic light at the Memorial and N. Harvey intersection. We the employees, visitors, parents and students of Mercy School feel the traffic conditions on that intersection are dangerous and are concerned about the safety of our students. 300 of our students are dropped off and picked up. Safe traffic conditions is our right.
Watching the gridlock at Memorial and Harvey during morning drop-off reminds me every single day why this change is overdue. I am currently compiling a report of near-miss accidents to present to the city council so they cannot ignore the danger our kids face.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like a weight lifting off my shoulders because I worry about these students every time I watch them cross that intersection. It is clear that I am not the only one who sees how dangerous the current situation has become.

This would keep not only my child safe, but the staff and parents as well. Memorial road is very congested at times.

It would be a blessing and help with traffic at this dangerous intersection we use daily.

The traffic light will be a great blessing. That intersection at rush hours is a disaster waiting to happen
