Attention Toybox Niteclub Patrons, supporters, and friends. Elyria City is unfairly objecting to the renewal of the Toybox liquor license with the State Liquor Commission based on false and misleading information. It has been said that the Toybox is a public nuisance and has a high number of police incidents reported. However there are several other bars/clubs in the city with higher incident calls to the police that are not being brought up before the liquor commission. The Toybox owners were not even given the opportunity to speak in front of the City Council to defend their business. We know that you are patrons and supporters are probably unaware so we wanted to shed some light on why we the doors are closed. We hope this is temporary and the owners plan to fight but need your help. Toybox employs several people that could lose their jobs. We cannot afford to lose another business in the city.
