I am a mother of two young boys. I read a story in the Toronto Sun this week, the story was sick, a mother immersing her 19 month old in boiling water tending to his 3rd degree burns and then going shopping while he lied there alone and died. I will never understand how someone can hurt a child like that, especially their own. The part that just made me over the edge angry was that she was sentenced to 11 years, and they called this a harsh sentence. I am tired of victims having NO RIGHTS in this country and Criminals walking out of jail a few short years later. They said this was jutice for her son, I see no jutice. I see a women getting a tap on the wrist for brutally murdering her own son. I see no fairness, and I do not see this being a harsh punishment. I am asking you to sign this Petition, and I will promise to ensure that it reaches the right hands. I will work hard at finding a way to start changing these sentenes. I have heard one too many stories about Criminals getting out shortly after a horrible crime was commited. It is my time, our time to stand up and put a stop to Criminals walking free in our Country.
