The momentum behind this petition exceeds my initial expectations. It is heartening to see so many people acknowledge that true justice requires a permanent commitment to public safety.

Thinking of you Aaron. My cousin was killed and the guy is already out walking around while we still have to live with the pain everyday.
10 years is nothing for taking a life. Need to change this now.
My brother deserved way better than the 8 years his killer got. Justice system is a complete joke in this country.
LIFE SHOULD MEAN LIFE. Sick of seeing these criminals out on the street after only a few years while the victims family suffers forever.
Lost my dad in 2012 and the person only got 6 years. Its disgusting how little a life is worth these days.

I totally agree with this as my sister was murdered in her house January 2004 and lad only got 10 year before they would look at hI'm for parole , luckily he is still in prison now
