PETITION TO DISSOLVE PARLIAMENT -TOHI TANGI KE VETEKI E FALE ALEA

THE LEGITIMACY OF THE GOVERNMENT OF TONGA GOES BACK TO THE ORIGINS OF THE SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT TONGA INHERITED/ADOPTED

We, the petitioners sign this petition calling on His Majesty, King Tupou VI to DISSOLVE Fale Alea, APPOINT AN INTERIM (CARETAKER) Government who must call for a ROYAL COMMISSION OF INQUIRIES to conduct an investigation into the Kingdom of Tonga’s State of Affairs.

Ko kimautolu ‘oku mau fakamo’oni hingoa atu ‘i he Tohi Tangi ni ko ‘emau tangi ki he ‘Ene Afio Tupou VI ke VETEKI ‘a e Fale Alea, fokotu’u ha PULE’ANGA FAKA-TAIMI kae ui mo ‘omai ha KOMISONA FAKA’EKE’EKE (FAKA-TOTOLO) ke fai hano fakatotolo’i mo hano toe vakavakai’i ‘a e ngaahi maumau kuo fai ‘e he Pule’anga lolotonga pea mo hano fakatotolo ‘a e ngaahi koloa moe pa’anga ‘a e fonuaa mo hono kakai.

Violation of the people’s trust by the Government

Our trust in this Government has been violated on several occasions by both speech and action. We voted this Government in with high hopes and aspirations, a dream of a better future for us and our next generations, a Tonga that will be respected both by our Pacific neighbors and our International Communities.

The actions of our Prime Minister Akilisi Pohiva and His Ministers have been nothing to be proud of.

The leadership of this Government have caused the destruction of the very fabric that binds us, which will have devastating consequences for our future generations if a dissolution is not to be executed. Our society has been destroyed by this Government and it is therefore unnecessary and senseless that this Government persists to exist.

Kuo maumau’i ‘e he Pule’anga ko eni ‘oku tataki ‘e Akilisi Pohiva ‘a ‘emau falala kakato pea mo ‘emau ‘amanaki mo ha toe fakatu’amelie ki ha Tonga ‘oku lelei pe a ke malu ki homau ngaahi hako pea moe to’u tangata ‘o e kaha’u.

‘Oku lahi foki mo hono maumau’i ‘a e ngaahi tala tuku fakaholo pea moe ngaahi lelei ‘i he nofo ‘a kainga ‘o fakatatau ki he ‘ulungaanga moe molumalu hotau Tonga.

The Legislature is the body in which all members of society becomes one. The Prime Minister have openly admitted to breaking the Law and when he does so, he denies and questions the legitimacy of the Law and the existence of Fale Alea which is the very place that the Legislatures make the law that organizes our society. This is making Laws without authority each and every single time the Prime Minister and His Ministers disobey or breaches the very Law they make in the first place.

Koe Fale Alea ko e fale fa’u lao ia ke ne pukepuke ‘a e melino ‘o e sosaeti moe kakai ‘o Tonga. ‘Oku to e takimu’a pe ‘a kinautolu na’a nau fa’u e lao ‘i hono maumau’i. Pea ‘e malava fefee ai ke ma’u ha melino mo ha malu ‘i he sosaieti pea mo hono ‘atakai ‘oku tau nofo ai kae ma’uma’uluta e nofo ‘a kainga.

Kuo fa’u e lao ia ke tatau ai e taha kotoa pea tuku ia ki tafa’aki kae toe fa’u lao ‘a e kau taki ia ‘i he pule’anga lolotonga ‘aki ‘a ‘enau talangata’a ki he lao ‘o e fonua.

Kuo ta’efa’alaua ‘a e maumau lao moe talangata’a ki he ngaahi tu’utu’uni fakangaue ‘oe Fale Alea ‘o Tonga ‘o hoko ai e ngaahi maumau lahi ki he founga ngaue, veteki ai moe falala’anga kae taupotu taha ‘a e monuka ‘a e Konisitutone.

WE PLEA WITH HIS MAJESTY TO DISSOLVE THE GOVERNMENT because the executive power has been negligent and failed to execute and enforce the law. This failure has been evidenced in the rise in crimes and substance abuse which can lead to anarchy. When the administration of justice and the laws fail to provide equality for the public good, government ceases to exist.

The Executive uses force, bribery, threats and promises to corrupt those in Public Service to yield to its wishes is ruining the Legislature and destroying the government. This is an assassination of the TRUST of the people.

Under the Leadership of Pohiva and His Ministers, they had all the opportunities given to them by Your Majesty to put things right, they have failed to ameliorate the economic state of the Kingdom, failed to lift the social issues facing our generations (youths) and failed to serve in the best interest of the Country. We therefore have lost all our hopes, the hopes and aspiration that Pohiva promised us when we voted him and his minsters into Government.

Your Majesty, we the people who sign this petition plead that you do right by your people for the good of all but not some. Dissolving this Government is the only solution.
