Thank you for taking the initiative. I have seen a few injuries resulting from the placement of this fixture. Moving it closer to the fence or on the outside of the gate as a greeting post is a great Idea!
Hi friends! In support of the safety and well being of our pets a petition has been started to officially compel the City of Orillia to move the decorative FireHydrant (currently out in open on the run path) to a more suitable placement perhaps near the fence or as a greeting post outside the dog park gate area…. Please sign in support of the health and well being of our community pets.

The relocation of this design element is vital to preventing any further injuries to the dogs that visit this park. I myself am there everyday and have seen numerous dogs injuried due to this new design added that serves no purpose. Please for the love of dogs, move it. Thank you in advanced.
