On September 1, 2015, a student named Daniel Benavidez who attended Mojave High School as a Senior was hit and killed by a speeding driver between Casa Del Norte Dr and W La Madre Way. The Mojave High School Army JROTC Rattler Battalion would like your help to spread this message out to create a safer community for all students and pedestrians of all grades and ages. We urge our leaders to act now to have stop signs and a crosswalk so we can prevent students and other pedestrians from future accidents. Everyday there are elementary, middle, and high schoolers that proceed to walk through these streets without a stop sign, cross walk, or a crossing guard to help prevent these accidents.
