Trumbull Nature & Arts Center

After extensive research, The Nature Commission & Trumbull Nature & Arts Center have decided it would be in the best interest of the community to relocate to a more centralized location within the Park system. This will allow access to extensive trails and more diverse ecology for hands on teaching. It will also allow for sustainable growth and success to be more conveniently located to all town residents, and centralized within the community. The TNAC 501c3 has offered to enter into a public-private partnership, where they will fundraise and apply for grants for costs to construct the building, if the town approves a park location. After trying to collaborate with the Parks commission for about a year, they made a motion and voted that "A Nature Center does not fit into 'their' vision of the parks system". Trumbull has 1600+ acres of parkland. They made this decision without holding any public hearing on the subject, allowing for little input from the taxpayers and residents of Trumbull. We have spoken to hundreds of residents who disagree with their decision. Please join us in this petition, to let the Parks Commission, elected officials and administration know that this decision does not represent the publics wishes.
