We the undersigned believe it is time that access improvements at Hither Green Station are funded as part of the Department for Transport’s Access for All Scheme. Hither Green is a busy station where only two of the six platforms have step-free access. We note the review of all Access for All Schemes being carried out by the current Government and we call upon the Government to set aside funding for Hither Green station in the current control period. Should funding be confirmed, we would urge Network Rail to carry out a full consultation about potential scheme designs with local residents and Lewisham Council.
