Such a busy station needs step-free access to platforms. There's no reason this can't be done, so why is it taking so long?

Hither Green is crying out for lifts, so many people who use the station would benefit from them.

This is absolutely necessary. Poole with disability and parents with buggies suffer everyday. Southwest must make peoples lives better.

I live in Hither Green and use a walking stick. This is one of the worst stations I've ever used for disabled access! Not only there are no lifts but the staircases are very steep and the steps between platform 4 and 5 are dreadful, too high and some loose and an absolute hazard. I avoid the station to avoid an accident! But it's so unfair because I have to take a bus to Lewisham Station when I could walk to Hither Green Station.

Why not open up all the ramps to platforms at Hither Green station and bring it into the 21st century?. It's horrendous getting onto platforms at present if you have a buggy, use a wheelchair or simply are not good on your legs. What is wrong with reopening the ramps? It would be an easy solution wouldn't it?

It is ridiculous in this day and age that the station is not accessible for disabled people and young families who need to use prams. If they can install lifts at new cross we should have lifts at HG

There are ramps leading up to each platform, surely it would be quick and inexpensive to reopen these if lifts really can't be installed. It's very dangerous carrying buggies up and down the stairs.

Something needs to be done. Before there's an accident trying to carry children and pushchairs up the stairs. And so much for good access for disabled people in this day and age.

Hither Green Station (HGR) is a critical component of transport infrastructure in the area. It's appalling that those least able to travel easily are further restricted by the absence of proper access arrangements.

I think the Govt funds my now rarely used Disabled Travel Pass because I can no longer walk. Live only a few minutes walk from Hither Green station. But no longer use it as I am not an acrobat.

Accessible public transport is vital for disabled people to be able to get around London. It should be a national scandal that so few train and tube stations in the capital are usable by those with mobility problems.

In 2017 we should no longer have to campaign to obtain access for all. It should be a right.
