Are you against the High School being built in Gateway right in your back yard? HERE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TO VOICE YOUR OPPOSITION and we need your help to stop it from happening.
In the next several months, the Lee County School Board is going to pick a site for a new East Zone High School to open in the fall of 2018. The most important site to Gateway is along Griffin Drive in Magnolia Lakes Community's back yard. It's 50 plus acres near Gateway Elementary, bordered by Griffin Drive, State Road 82 and the Magnolia Lakes subdivision.
One of the other two sites under consideration is on land right next to Oak Hammock Middle School and Manatee Elementary on Tice Street. The third is on Joel Blvd near State Road 80 in Lehigh Acres.
As many of you know, that even though SOME property values will go up, neighboring communities that are across the street or backed up to a High School will have values that drop. This is due to football fields, band practice, bright lights at night, and the major increase in traffic
Please sign this petition and share the link with your friends if you are against a High School coming to this Gateway location. All of the signatures will be delivered to the Lee County School Board before a decision is made on where the East Zone high school is going to be built.

We moved here because we loved the open area in are back yard. The love of gated community and you will destroy that by placing it in my back yard. The nature and quiet. With a school being there it will all go away. I will have to sell my home.
Against another school in our community especially a high school which would add the burden of additional traffic, noise, and road maintenance.

We love our view and how quiet it is here. If a school is built right in our back yard all of that will be gone!
Oppose another school in Gateway
Oppose due to unsafe traffic conditions on highway 82. Increased traffic will result in more fatalities.

It is not necessary to add another school along State Road 82. It will cause a major traffic problem to an already busy road. I also feel it will create an unnecessary burden to those surrounding the proposed site.
