For some time now, workers at the Royal Mail and surrounding businesses use the roads on the residential estate at Thorpe Astley (mainly the top end of Foxon Way) to park their cars and then walk to work. This is causing an obstruction to residents coming in and out of Birchnall Road (obstructed view of traffic coming off the roundabout down Foxon Way) and cars are often parked adjacent to the entrance/exit of Owen Close causing further obstruction to traffic trying to turn left (due to oncoming traffic). This seems to be a 24-hour situation as cars are parked there day and night, 6-7 days a week (pictures of this can be provided upon request which were taken today 24/03 at 11:00am).
As a resident, I feel this is not acceptable and not what I expected to be faced with on a daily basis battling with parked cars and other traffic trying to leave my own home. With that in mind, I have already contacted the Royal Mail to lodge my complaint with them (as detailed above) and I have received a Complaint Reference Number of 1-383371**** which has been forwarded on to the Sorting Centre on the Meridian site and I have also contacted the Blaby Council detailing the same complaint, receiving the reference number of FS5030****

Seeing this grow has been exhausting but deeply validating. I am too tired to celebrate properly knowing the roads are still blocked, yet this surge of backing proves that I am not imagining the danger outside my front door.

This parking needs to be stopped it is going to cause a serious motor accident and on numerous occasions I have seen people and school children trying to cross but cannot see properly due to the cars obstructing vision.
Double yellow lines and speed bumps are required along Foxon Way. People parking on the road is very dangerous and the vast majority of people exceed the speed limit along this road.
I have had a number of near miss accidents trying to get out of birchnall road, I also have problems with cars been parked on birchall road and rivets meadow close, with non residents parking and not beable to park on my own street, use to the number of cars parking there.
It's so dangerous, if you are coming out of Burchnall Road you can't see the traffic to the right or left. Nearly been cleared up a few time driving up Foxon towards the Royal Mail, have dash cam evidence
Coming home at half five in the evening it is very dangerous having to drive on the opposite side of the road where you are blinded by on coming traffic due to the huge amount of cars parked all the way down Foxon way. If there hasn't been an accident yet because of this I am very surprised.

I am in agreement with this petition.It is an absolute nightmare.My wife was travelling on the bus coming up Foxen Way when the driver had to swerve quickly to avoid a accident.They are also parking on Burchnall Rd.
