We, the residents of Wexford County Michigan, In light of the allegations against the Wexford County Animal Shelter, are requesting: - An investigation be immediately initiated. - Alternate supervision and leadership for the animal shelter be immediately implemented during the course of the investigation. - Within 2 weeks there be a change in the supervision of the animal control/animal shelter, changing from the Sheriff’s Dept and to the Health Dept. Consistent with this change in supervision, the funding for the shelter/animal control be shifted to the auspices of the Health Dept.
