We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to stop the mandate/directive in place to kill animals within 10 days, or any future mandates/directive that propose killing animals regardless of available space, be immediately banned or lifted, and that this shelter be operated as a space based shelter. Furthermore, we want our facility to engage in modern practices including focusing on adopting instead of killing adoptable animals. Animals should receive veterinary care when needed, in a clean and sanitary shelter environment. We would also ask that low cost spay/neuter programs be allowed to continue to help address our problem of pet overpopulation.
