The REK (Reaching Every Kid) A Carrabelle Youth Project
We want The City of Carrabelle to establish a community center/gym for the children/families of Carrabelle. We want to salvage the old Carrabelle School Gym and restore to its historic value.
The silence from the city council remains heavy but it only proves how much our kids need someone to keep pressing. I have been spending my evenings looking at floor plans for the old gym and wondering how long they intend to let the building rot while our families have nowhere to go.

This would be wonderful for our kids!! Especially our teenagers! The younger children have the Nest to participate in, but our teens have nothing to do. I truly believe this is a great and productive idea. If you need any help with this project please contact me.

This is a great idea to give kids a safe place to play while preserving the history of the city.

I would love to see the old Jym restored and used for skating ....movies....game room....... community center.....even rent it out for wedding........have dances there for the kids. .It's a shame for it to just sit there and rot away.

Us teenagers would love a rec center. They have the building why not utilize it for something good.

Shouldn't take a rocket scientist to know the right thing to do here..the building is there..and so are the children...don't let them both rot away..

We have family in Carrabelle, and visiting there at least twice a year, it is plain to see that the community NEEDS this!
