We hit a significant target today and the momentum shows that drivers are tired of paying double fees just to keep their property. Post this link on your Facebook wall so we can keep the pressure on the department. Email your local representative today and tell them that Northern Ireland deserves the same retention rights as the rest of the UK.

Total joke. Why is it different here than in the rest of the UK? Sort it out.
Ridiculous that we are left behind on this. Spent way too much extra cash moving my plate around between cars I didnt even want just to keep it.
Lost a plate I had for years because I couldnt afford the double fee. Really unfair system.
Need this fixed asap. Its a nightmare trying to juggle a private plate when you change cars.
Should have been brought in years ago. Sick of paying double just to hold onto my own property.

About time. Cost me 160 quid last year just to keep my own private plate because I was between vehicles. Should be simple.
