From the 28th of July this year, there are new restrictive laws being put in place byt the South Australian government in relation to provisional license holders with main two restrictions being;
- no more than 1 passenger who is not a direct family member aged between 16 and 20 and;
- a driving ban between 12am and 5am
While these laws are irritating in themselves, there is another issue that needs to be considered.As P platers, you will be paying the same registration fees for your car as a fully qualified driver.You cannot use the roads for 5 hours out of 24. This entitles us to a 20.8% refund registration fees, amounting to a total of $179.80 that we are simply having to throw away.
Sign this petition if you feel that this should be changed!The government cannot take our rights to the road but make us pay for them anyway!

The South Australian government thinks they can bleed us dry while locking us off the roads during the night. We have reached a significant turning point here and it proves they cannot hide from this theft any longer.

total rip off. how can they charge full price when they lock us off the roads at night? fix it.
Ridiculous. If I can't drive my car between those hours then I shouldnt have to pay for that time either. Give us our money back.

So sick of the govt acting like we are just atm machines. If we cant drive then we shouldnt pay full rego simple as that.
