For part of our Citizenship coursework we are campaigning to improve the safety of Willenhall Lane, Bloxwich Lane and Leamore Lane.
The Mirus Academy site is situated adjacent to these three roads. Every day over 1000 pupils have to cross either of these roads.
We are concerned about the safety of the people that use these roads. We want to make the roads around our academy safer for everyone.
I honestly never thought this would gain so much speed and honestly it is kind of surreal seeing everyone pile on like this. It is just so wild knowing people actually care about our school route as much as we do because sometimes coursework feels like shouting into the void. This growth is really something else.

I drive down bloxwich lane everyday and these kids just run out without looking because they have no safe crossings. its an accident waiting to happen.

My son goes there and I worry every single day. The traffic is absolutely mental at school run times. Something needs to change before a kid gets hurt.

Great work kids. Drivers are way too fast on those roads.
