The Intersections of Brookside/Glenville/Valley/ Construction
The undersigned residents who live at or near the intersections of Glenville/Brookside/Valley Roads in Greenwich, Connecticut object to the substantial construction project by Department of Public Works outlined in the following link: https://www.greenwichct.gov/1658/Glenville-Road-In...
Originally proposed for safety, the DPW now justifies this project on grounds that these intersections are "difficult to maneuver and congested at times".
The cost of $1,750,000 is excessive for an unnecessary revision given actual safety data. Further, this cost is irresponsible in light of current budgetary concerns of the Town of Greenwich and the State of Connecticut. As residents who use these intersections daily, and experience them as safe and manageable, we should add our voices against this wasteful and unnecessary project.
