Originally proposed for safety, the DPW now justifies this project on grounds that these intersections are "difficult to maneuver and congested at times".
The cost of $1,750,000 is excessive for an unnecessary revision given actual safety data. Further, this cost is irresponsible in light of current budgetary concerns of the Town of Greenwich and the State of Connecticut. As residents who use these intersections daily, and experience them as safe and manageable, we should add our voices against this wasteful and unnecessary project.

I have requested a formal meeting with the Department of Public Works to review the safety data they used to justify this project. My next step is to submit these signatures alongside a written critique of the proposed budget to the Board of Estimate and Taxation.

The volume of support for this petition has gained the attention of several local news outlets. I am currently coordinating a formal meeting with town officials to present these objections regarding the construction budget and project necessity.

I fear it will also have a negative effect on the safety of those going in and out of Eagle Hill. There is no reason to have three circles that close to each other. We can see how cars fly through the one on Lake with drivers not following the rules.
The ghost of Robert Moses is haunting Grenville Road. This proposal is both unnecessary as a traffic management matter and totally insensitive to the character of the neighborhood. Surely there is a more pressing need for the proposed expenditure of State and Town tax dollars.
While somewhat awkward, the intersection is safe and efficient. I have no idea why it would be changed, budget issues or not. I have lived on Rock Ridge for 13 years and never experienced or seen an issue.
As someone who uses this intersection regularly, i feel that the sporadic congestion does not even come close to justifying such a huge expenditure of funds. Spend the money on the school system instead
What evidence or studies justify a project of this cost and magnitude? As a long time resident in the area I don't experience problems with these intersections or see how the proposed project would materially ameliorate traffic flow.
Will increase "Planning" for tripling the Commercial Flights to HPN up the street....so to speak...
Just stop with the make work projects, you've totally screwed up the intersection of GA & Elm!

I do not think we need traffic circles at these two intersections. The disruption to existing homeowners and their lots is extreme and the proposed costs far outweigh the benefits.
