im still waiting on a callback from the city council but honestly the amount of stories pouring in about why we need this rink is keeping me going. your comments show just how many people this affects and i wont let them ignore us.

i honestly cant believe how fast this is growing. seeing so many people care about keeping the rink open is seriously moving.

WRECK EM! Save the hockey program!!
This rink is so important for the Texas Tech community. It is the only place we have.
What a move. Shutting down the only ice in the city is just poor planning. Think about the youth programs for once.
Lubbock needs this rink. My kids would be devastated if they lost their hockey practice. Dont take this away from us.
I grew up skating at that coliseum and it would be a shame to lose that history. please reconsider this decision.

Ridiculous. Where are these kids supposed to go now? 150 miles is way too far to drive for a game. Keep the Coliseum open.
