Administration has proposed to the City of Windsor to remove the ice at Adie Knox Arena and repurpose it. Administration claims that they would have no problem moving the organizations into the other facilities. Unfortunately they have not done any research with the organizations nor the actual ice times available to understand the needs and how to fulfill them. It appears either administration is okay with displacing other organizations to make room for those losing their ice or they will attempt to fit the organizations into ice times that are not even close to being feasible to the age groups that these organizations are servicing.
This is also the second arena in the area that would be shut down. Is the West end of Windsor not as important as the rest of the City? Do these families not deserve somewhere nearby where they can participate in skating programs? We say yes to both!! On January 19, 2015 we need to make sure that the City Councillors know that too. Sign this petition to have your voice heard and save Adie Knox Arena!
It's very sad that they are thinking of removing another arena from the West end. Keep Adie Knox open please. How can these kids learn to skate if they can't get to an arena

Te city needs to look at the big picture and not just money. Every area of the city needs an ice pad and good ice times.
