Support the extension of the Poudre River Trail; sign this petition!
Larimer County, the City of Fort Collins, the Towns of Timnath and Windsor and the City of Greeley are writing a Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) grant application to extend the Poudre River Trail and provide greater access to the Poudre River...and we need your help!
Please sign our online petition to show GOCO how important this project is to the citizens of Larimer and Weld Counties. If Larimer County is awarded the grant, the following projects will be built/acquired by 2015:
1. Over 7 miles of new concrete trail extending the Poudre River Trail from River Bluffs Open Space to Arapaho Bend Natural Area. These sections of trail will also include a trail overpass at I-25 and underpasses at Harmony Road and County Road 5.
2. A nature playscape area at River Bluffs – a play area constructed with natural materials to engage kids in nature.
3. Acquisition of over 800 acres of land along the Poudre River in Weld County. These areas will be publicly accessible, provide excellent wildlife habitat and will buffer the existing Poudre River Trail.
Your email address is a required field only to verify your signature and it will not be shared with GOCO or any 3rd parties. There is no cost or donation needed to sign the petition. Please contact Jeffrey Boring (jboring@larimer.org or 970-679-4569) with any questions.
