Faith Bachelor, a store manager at Victoria's Secret in the Quintard Mall in Oxford, Alabama demanded that 2 African American women stop shopping and leave the store after another African American woman was allegedly shoplifting. Ms. Bachelor automatically assumed that the other two African American women were accompanying the woman who was allegedly shoplifting. One of the women who was shopping, Kimberly Houzah, went live on Facebook to capture the racial profiling as it was happening. Mall security can even be heard in the background asking the women to leave the store. We are filing this petition to request the termination of Victoria's Secret store manager Faith Bachelor. Her actions were egregious, extreme, and down right WRONG! We are sure that Victoria's Secret does NOT want a woman like this representing their company.

She needs to be fired. I have so many VS and Pink items in my closet and this upsets me. If she's not fired, I'm clipping my Angel Card! It's bad enough that they barely represent black women in their ads. Now we're being kicked out of the store? Wow.
I can't not believe this has happen I love this Store but I will never go back there it makes me so sad for this young Lady this is humiliating I got black Grandkids I don't want this happen to them or any other young or old or older black People just so sad
I'm so sure that had a Caucasian female, or Asian Female been caught shop lifting all of the other of the same race would not have been asked to exit the store. Guilty by association of RACE! Your black she's black so you are all up to the same thing?!?
Apparently, this store manager did not take any actions other than to profile a young woman shopping in her store -- two women in fact -- that happened to be "shopping while black". This needs to be investigated and action taken. It is NOT okay.
What a sad day for the Anniston/Oxford area. It would truly be a shame if the actions of the store manager are allowed to go unchecked. If nothing is done, it says to the community that you condone her actions, and if that is the case, shame on you.
As a Store Manager I have seen some things, but I always say, never judge anyone, by color or not how one dress’s. You never know. And most of my shoplifter were kids, and moms just out for the day and just needed some wine glasses, nothing that should cause this situation . The big ones are groups of kids, and I say to this manager, leave it to your security people. Your clothes are not expensive . You price them high, but not worth it. I did (retired) find foucing on my positive customer had a better outcome in my day than negative ones. About 20 years ago, I had 2 ladies screaming for the manager, They came at me as if they were going to kill me, they were going to see to it I lost my job. I kept my calm, and I said that’s fine, I’ll call HR myself, but could you tell why and what happen first? So they calmed down, explained the situation, and before they finished, I could see they had every reason for how they were feeling as they did. I gave them all the numbers I could find for them and call my DM right away. I told them the customer were in the right to feel as they did, so they were Compensated very well , and in turn they had a conversation with corporate and told them they were very lucky to have had me in the store, or they would have owned the store. No one ever did something so nice for me, but what made me feel good was what I did everyday was not to judge not to judge others, listen always.

I definitely spend my hard earned dollars in Victoria Secret but with racist antics like this happening in any establishment I will abruptly stop spending my money there or wherever this is happening. Please be part of the solution.... not the problem!!!
