I also think it is important to keep the sabbath elevator service. I am in favor of the sabbath elevator stopping on the way _down_. This is a good compromise. If it is possible to change the way it stop to mimic workday rush hour that might also be a solution: stop on the way up during AM work days and stop down on other times.
Nobody uses those elevators!

it is really annoying to walk up all these flights. the way down is way more helpful for my family. please fix this asap.
