The Grand Island tolls must go!
No one else must pay to get home. The tolls are burden on the people who live there and tourists that visit the region. They are unfair, especially for a bridge that paid for itself multiple times. When the bridges were originally built, the tolls were only supposed to be used for the maintenance and original cost for construction. But for decades, tolls continue to still be collected.

The constant grind of this campaign wears on me but your backing keeps the momentum alive. We are moving toward our first milestone and I need you to push this link to your neighbors right now. We cannot lose our footing while the bridge authorities continue to profit off our commute.

The lines that form at the bridge are ridiculous! All those fumes are not good for the environment or those of us sitting in the lines. I avoid the South bridge whenever possible and I live on Grand Island! TAKE THE TOLLS DOWN NOW!
The Grand Island Bridges have been paid for 100 x with tolls over the years.The bottle neck created with traffic back up is totally unwarranted. The removal of the tolls would create a smoother flow of traffic over the bridges.
The tolls, at the base of the bridges, are simply wrong. Horrible for commuters; hurt business; add miserably to pollutions and are simply dangerous. As a commuter, I have complained about them over 3 decades.
Getting too and from work will cost me over $500 in tolls from these bridges. That's money that could be food in my kids mouths and clothes on their backs. Instead it going across the state for other throughway projects
Tolls got to go, we are tired of our money going to down state projects like the new Tappan Zee Bridge !!!! We are way past the time limit for tolls. Extension after extension after excuse. We have had it and we vote do the right thing or we will remember when voting !!!!!
Love fantasy island..lov Riverstone grill. I haven't gone since I receive $258. Bill for not paying my $1.toll...that got Jack up to $51. after 60 days now I'm in collections...good luck getting my cash from canada...i go around..what an inconvience...or I just tape my plates so it's not recorded. I'm canadian luv grand island. Didn't mind paying $1...now it add about 40min drive extra when I visit buffalo. It's been a cash grab...for the last 30+ years...its gotta go...pissing more people off..than doing good...just raise sales tax to .09cents in NY. more than enough to keep govt happy. give us back our roads...and freedom.

I have lived on the island my whole life and I think having to pay the toals when I live here is nuts. As a single parent it's not an extra exspense I want to be paying. I think traffic would decrease as well.
