We the undersigned respectfully request the Town of Altona remove the locked gate at the west end of the Purdy Road in Altona NY. Nobel Environmental Power has installed this gate illegally with what we feel is inaccurate information from town officials. The Purdy Road is a Public Right-of-Way which runs from State Route 190 to the Rand Hill Road. The Purdy Road is and has been a NYS funded secondary snowmobile trail for at least the past ten years. The Purdy Road has been and still is used by hikers, cross-country skiers, snow-shoers, ATVers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. Landowners also use this road to access their property. Please return this Public Right-of-Way back to the tax paying citizens who use this Public Right-of-Way. Remove the locked gate now!
