Black history is just as important as any other history, it's global history that needs to be taught. Teaching black history in schools and adding it to the curriculum could change the perspective we have on black people and could give them different role models to look up to who have contributed to this world. Let's stop teaching that slavery was the start of black people and start teachings about the contributions of blacks or Africans kingdom. #teachblackhistory.

I honestly did not think this would take off like this but seeing the energy behind the curriculum demand is truly wild. It feels like we are actually moving the needle now which is just bizarre and wonderful and I keep refreshing the page because I just cannot believe it is happening.

Bout time this happened. kids need to know black history isnt just slavery.

Too much stuff is being left out of the textbooks. It is time for a change for real.
