I grew up learning about my heritage and my roots. I find it extremely sad that Black History is no longer valued by the American School System. Kids need to learn about it, because black history IS american history. We spend so much time in school learning about the holocaust and how bad it was. But no one wants to teach about slavery and our great black leaders. People that helped shape today's world should not be forgotten, and I think it's a major issue and children today NEED to learn about it. Please, sign my petition to make Black History taught in ALL schools so our children can be educated :)

The school board thinks they can keep ignoring us but this wave of support proves they are dead wrong. This momentum shows exactly why these cowards are terrified of the truth. We are not backing down until they rewrite these shameful curriculums.

There is definitely room in the school curriculum for young black children to gain a sense of self worth by learning about their past.

I agree they only teach what they are allowed, which is not really the full truth of black history month.

With the understanding the black history is more than just slavery, Martin Luther King, and Rosa Parks.

I believe black history should be a part of school because that's a part of our American History.

I believe that Black history is essential to all school level curriculums, especially for the Africian American percentage. We should have a right to learn about black history, just like we like about bias American history that is full of lies and untruthful facts.

I support this 100% I believe this is something that needs to be in our schools . It is also a huge piece of the American and World history just as much as all the other things we learn

Black people are the chosen ones. Their greatest need today is to decode themselves. The biggest need today is to decode and stop passing down enslaved information to their offsprings. Black History is not in schools because it will put a monkey wrench in racism. The master plan of Willie Lynch is still working. Free your mind and the rest will follow.
