The increase in support has moved this project from a local discussion to a topic on the regional council agenda. I have secured a meeting with the transportation department to review current flood data and infrastructure requirements. We are now preparing a formal proposal to outline why this bridge is essential for consistent supply chain access.

FIX THE ROAD. Seriously its 2017 and we are still doing this every wet season???
Living up here is hard enough without the isolation. We get cut off for weeks and the food prices go through the roof. Build the bridge.
This is so overdue. Really hope the gov finally listens to us for once.
Emergency services struggle every single year. How many people need to get stuck before someone does something smart.
My family is out there and it scares me when the river rises and they cant get out for supplies or doctors. Its been long enough.

About time! People in Cairns take hitting the shops for granted. We are stuck eating pasta for two weeks every time it rains hard.
