We, the residents of Crooked River Top, call on our Member of Parliament and the National Water Commission (NWC) to act now to restore a reliable, long-term water supply to our neighborhood.
For too long, families in Crooked River Top have lived without piped water. Day after day, households have been forced to depend on private water trucks just to fill storage tanks and meet one of life’s most basic needs. That has placed a heavy strain on family budgets and on everyday life. People should not have to keep paying thousands of dollars each week for water. No community should be left in this kind of uncertainty, where something as essential as water is never guaranteed.
We ask the NWC to dispatch engineers without delay for a dedicated field evaluation of the Crooked River Top lines. We need a full technical assessment to find the source of the problem and fix it properly, not just for the short term but for the long term. While that work is being carried out, residents also need emergency water trucking so families are not left without support.
We also ask that Crooked River Top be formally included in upcoming national water infrastructure development projects. Our community deserves dependable service and a lasting solution, not continued hardship.
We urge a clear schedule for the field evaluation, a transparent plan for repairs, and a commitment to restore water service to Crooked River Top without further delay.
