TAG's 5th Grade parents would like to request a moving up ceremony in June 2019 to recognize the achievements of this transitional year. We would also like to have a brief reception with parents afterwards in the gym. We need your support. Please help us by signing this petition.
The emails I keep sending to the administration are still going unanswered. It is tiring to be met with total silence when we are only asking for a simple way to celebrate what these kids have accomplished.
March 1, 2019
Reaching this level of support has been exhausting but necessary. Seeing so many people agree that these children deserve a proper sendoff keeps me going when I feel like hitting a wall.

It would mean a lot to the kids to have their achievements recognized and to share the moment with the school administrators, parents, and friend.

Yes, please! There's a life lesson here for our kids: After you work hard and succeed, pause to celebrate--then keep going ;)

I, myself is a TAG 5th grade student. I think that we should have a ceremony to say goodbye and for all our hard work this year. Switching from Ms. DeLeon and Ms. Williams was hard, and we can all agree that Mr. Haitram is a fierce teacher, right?
Also, we should have this separate awards ceremony to show the special traits only some of us have! (Best gamer, bravest fighter, etc..) TAG is about celebrating the smart and special about each one of us.

This milestone ceremony of achievement would add to our scholars' special and important memories, and it's meaning and relevance should be officially acknowledged and valued.

It is the end of elementary school for them. This is just as important as the end of middle school and high school. I am surprised, such an important milestone is about to be ignored. I hope out scholars have an opportunity to celebrate it.

As a past student of TAG, I believe that it's actually essential for the 5th graders to have this ceremony as this may be the last year for some of the amazing scholars. The ceremony give the fifth graders a chance to celebrate their year before middle school, as in the older grades there is much more work and stress. So, this event could be the time friends say goodbye to each other as they separate, or to celebrate their last year of freedom before middle school.
