Whereas our colleague, Bryant Alexander, has done an outstanding job as Associate Dean and as Interim Dean of the College of Arts & Letters;
Whereas Bryant Alexander has worked tirelessly with Arts & Letters departments and the development office to bring in money to support programs, facilities and equipment;
Whereas Bryant Alexander's integrity, dedication, openness and fairness have been distinguishing features of his conduct as Interim Dean;
Whereas Bryant Alexander's devotion to, and respect for, our students is exemplary;
Whereas Bryant Alexander is an educator & scholar of national standing;
Whereas Bryant Alexander's commitment to the mission of the University is without question;
Whereas we have considered the credentials of the final candidates and find Bryant Alexander's credentials and experience to be superior;
We, the undersigned, strongly support and recommend Bryant Alexander to be appointed Dean of the College of Arts & Letters at California State University, Los Angeles.

Reaching this level of support has been a heavy and humbling experience during a long fight. I am exhausted by the process but seeing this level of consensus gives me the strength to keep pushing for Bryant.

The man gets things done. Look at the funding he brought in for the labs! It would be a huge mistake to let him go.
Bryant has been nothing but fair since he started. He actually listens to us when we have issues with the department. Keep him!!
He has my full support. Been around long enough to know when someone is actually trying to make the college better. Give him the job permanent.
He is the obvious choice. Hope they listen to us for once.
Integrity is hard to find in this building. Bryant has plenty of it. He deserves the position.
