Based upon recent communication coming from the Department of Advanced Studies, it seems as though the administration needs to hear of the positive impact Dr. Mira Mayer has and continues to have on so many students. This petition is to show both the administration and campus that both current students and alumni support for Dr. Mayer and her continued support and dedication to the program and it's students. The Department of Advanced Studies is still ignoring our message while they try to push Dr. Mayer out of the program. I am currently dragging their bureaucratic silence into the light and demanding they explain why they are targeting such an essential mentor.

The Department of Advanced Studies is finally feeling the heat because of this overwhelming surge of support for Dr. Mayer. They tried to ignore her value but this momentum proves they cannot silence us or push her out without a fight.

At first, I didn't know what to make of her teaching/counseling style, but I've grown to realize that Dr. Mayer deeply cares about all of her students and is a great professor and advocate for the program...her role as coordinator will be hard to fill. She has my support as a student and future professional.
Of all my professors that I've had in my education, Dr. Mayer is perhaps one of the most influential. Her knowledge and insight go beyond the classroom, and it is through her guidance and understanding that I feel completely confident in my path. Dr. Mayer has my utmost respect and my full support.
Dr. Mayer has been the most helpful professor I have met in this program. She is a wonderful professor that always gives her all. She helped me when other educators in the program would not help.
I am so grateful for the educatuon that I received at CSU Stanislaus. Dr. Mayer played a huge roll in my success and motivation to continue my education. She brings life, cultural, diversity, wisdom, and most of all passion to the school counseling program. I am thankful for everything that she has taught me.
Mira is an excellent teacher and advisor for the counseling program. She advocates for all of her students and I am proud to know her! She has always gone above and beyond to make sure classes were available for students and has tried to make graduate school the best experience possible.
Dr. Mayers is an inspiration to everyone who comes in contact with. I have learned so much from her lectures and advice. It is truly a blessing that my life crossed paths with hers. I can honestly say that, I would not be the person who I am today if it not been for her motivation and most important her words of wisdom and knowledge she passes on. I will be forever grateful for the assistance that she has given me in these last few months.
To the Administration of the Department of Advanced Studies: In my opinion Dr. Mayer is a key player in the Education Counseling program. She is a very knowledgeable professor. I have always found her classes very engaging and motivating. I have learned a lot from her. Dr. Mayer is also a great student advocate. She is always willing to help. Anytime I have a need she has been available. Consequently, she has had a great impact in my career.

I just started the Counseling Program and Mira is clearly passionate about Counseling. I appreciate that she's always available to her students, whether it's in her office or online, she's always more than willing to answer questions, provide feedback, or offer guidance.
