I would like the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority, the City of Victoria, and other stakeholders to recognize the role the harbourfront buskers play and to include them as stakeholders when planning events, regulatory changes, and architectural upgrades to the waterfront.

The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority is still ignoring us and acting like these talented artists don't contribute anything to the city. I am tired of the bureaucratic stonewalling while they draw up plans that completely sideline the people who actually bring the harbourfront to life.

buskers play a crucial role in urban daily life, by adding vitality, culture, safety and entertainment in the public realm, and should be encouraged and celebrated rather than discouraged or even excluded from public space management.
I used to run a couple of stores on Government St and often cruise ship passengers said they only disembark ed here because they wanted to see the harbourfront entertainers.
We come to Victoria from Oregon once a year, and have for 25 years. The causeway buskers are something we always look forward to. It is part of the culture that makes Victoria unique!
Its world famous for its buskin scene.its one of those things if it was lost it would effect all of greater victoria.I guess without it the words of joni mitchell would echo "they tore paradise and they put up a parking lot".
I lived in Victoria for 50 years and come back regularly on the Coho , I have always loved the Buskers. I have never heard anything but praise for them from people getting on and off the ferry... They are an important part of the Inner harbor experience ...
I love shard
My 7 year old niece loves to watch the buskers. We make a trip into Victoria regularly just to sit and listen/watch them.

The causeway buskers need to have a say in how events in the inner harbour are planned! For many of them it is their main source of income and they provide a truly unique experience and lasting memories for tourists from all over the world! They deserve the respect of the Harbour Authority and the City.
