Support Rhosddu residents.
We the undersigned call upon the Welsh Assembly Government to-
-Implement a proper needle exchange policy, not giving out needles unless used needles are brought back for safe disposal. We cannot accept countless used needles abandoned on our streets.
- Acknowledge the distress caused to residents and owners of private land on which used needles and drugs paraphernalia have been left.
The WG should provide the funds to commission the rapid clearance of such items including off private land.
- Review their commissioning policy for allocation of grants to agencies which engage with individuals who are users of drug and alcohol, so as to take account of the impact their activities have on the lives of Wrexham residents, with particular attention paid to the impact Ty Croseo has on the lives of residents who live in the Grosvenor electoral ward in Wrexham.
- Review service provision and establish a single centre to house all agencies in an appropriate location.
- Review their legislation on the provision of Houses of Multiple Occupancy, with a view to protecting the interests of people who have bought or rented their homes in expectation of not then having to then live with their neighbouring residential properties being occupied by more adults than these properties were originally intended. Any new legislation needs to compel Landlords of all HMO's to sound insulate all party walls.
We the undersigned call upon the North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner to address the issue of inadequate police presence in Wrexham so as to tackle the blatant drug dealing that is taking place in our community streets and town centre on a daily basis.
