we got word that the funding is locked in and the mural is officially happening. i cant believe how many of you stepped up to make this real for helen and the kids. stay tuned because i will post pics once the painting actually starts.

Final supporters
This year, artist Helen Ansell's Coral Gum (Eucalyptus Torquata) painting won the 2015 Hedland Art Award's People's Choice prize. We are seeking support for this painting to be translated into a large scale mural in South Hedland, where it can be enjoyed by the whole community.
As part of the project, Helen will host a free children's art workshop, and will create a hide-and-seek game in the mural for children to enjoy for years to come.
Your signatures will help us apply for community grants so we can see this project realised.

im honestly blown away by how much this has taken off. seeing so many people wanting to get helens art onto our walls is just incredible and it keeps me super motivated to get these grants sorted.

Helen is a State treasure.. South Hedland should have her work installed! Will be enjoyed for many years!
This kind of beauty needs to be shared with our younger and future generations, residents, visitors and tourists. I really hope this happens. Good luck.
Good luck it would make a perfect mural and public art is so important to community identity, what a great message about valuing natural beauty and native flora this has. A great project

I have some of Helen's work in my home. I never tire of seeing it and it receives only positive remarks from visitors. Very wide appeal.
