Porters at Ninewells and Royal Victoria hospital have been underpaid for over 10 years now. We are currently fighting for fair pay and need support from members of the community to help us in our fight for equality.
Reaching one hundred signatures shows that many people recognize the essential role our porters play in the hospitals. This milestone confirms that we are not alone in seeking long overdue fairness for these staff members.

Reaching our first hundred signatures represents a significant step toward ensuring our porters finally receive the fair pay they have earned over the last decade. Please consider inviting others to join this effort so we can demonstrate the full breadth of community backing for these essential staff members.

As porters I know how hard you all work and the NHS could not operate effectively without you. All the best in your struggle and you have the support of Unite in NHS Ayrshire and Arran. James McGinn, Branch Secretary

I have spent a lot of the first 3 months of this year in Ninewells hospital and i have seen how much work the porters do, they deserve to get paid what they are due, without them the hospital just doesnt run to the best of its ability

I was treated at Ninewells once when I visited Scotland. The porters deserve a fair pay for all they do for people who count on them....doctors, nurses and patients. Please do the right thing by your porters.

My late father was a hospital porter and they do such a valuable role in making patients and families welcome and familiarising them with the hospital setting. They should be paid a decent income.

never underestimate the job these porters do!!! Go above and beyond. Several occasions I have literally felt safe when these men have intervened when I have been met with aggressive patients!! Another role they don't get paid for ❤️❤️
