This letter is in support of retention of all History Day funding and programming in Missouri schools. History Day is a year-long school program culminating in an annual contest which encourages young people to explore history and understand historical issues, ideas, people and events with critical analysis skills. But History Day is in danger due to cuts in education budgets resulting from the COVID19 public health pandemic. Sign this petition to show YOUR support of History Day for Missouri youth.

Please keep the funding. Both of my sons love this activity. They were regional champions and placed at the state level.
I've had the opportunity to participate in history day for the past ten years. It's an incredible opportunity for students to develop a better understanding of our history, as well as the devely of critical thinking skills that are so necessary. It would be a shame to lose History Day and all the opportunities it provides.
History day is an important part of students lives and keeping history alive !
NHD made a huge difference in my life and I would hate to see it thrown away!

Never forget our history ! We always build on it....even the negative ...for it is the reminder of the need for healthy change.
