RE: Rezoning Case Z-29 Proposed Rezoning of 3950 Hiram Lithia Springs Rd SW, Powder Springs, GA 30127
Dear Cobb County Commissioners and Planning Staff,
I am writing you to express my support for the proposed rezoning of 3950 Hiram Lithia Springs Road SW from its current zoning of R-30 to RSL (residential senior living). As a neighboring resident to the subject property, I recognize that new development in our area is inevitable. However, I believe RSL zoning and the proposed active adult (55+) community are appropriate for 3950 Hiram Lithia Springs Rd SW.
The proposed rezoning and development of a 110-home active adult neighborhood will benefit our community by maintaining a peaceful residential environment, preserving green space, and offering additional housing options for the region’s growing population of adults aged 55 and older. I believe RSL zoning best aligns with the needs and desires of the community with a marginal difference in density compared to rezoning alternatives.
For the reasons stated above, I support the rezoning of 3950 Hiram Lithia Springs Road SW to RSL to deliver high-quality, single-story detached housing for adults aged 55 and older.

YES to RSL. Keep it 55 plus only. Tired of more apartments going up everywhere.
We want this to only be a 55 and older community.
I feel that 55 and older is a benefit. Any other type is not good.0
I fully support the idea of rezoning the land to RSL.
