This petition is in Opposition to Z-10 (2017), Prime Senior Living Group, LLC’s petition to rezone property on the West side of Mars Hill Rd, north of Burnt Hickory Rd for an 160,000 sq. ft. Supportive Residential Senior Living Facility.
Per Cobb County Code Sec. 134-203.1. - RSL supportive residential facilities, are to be located within an Activity Center.
The location of Z-10 is outside and not adjacent to an activity center, therefore, does not meet the Purpose and Intent per Cobb County Code. The proposed building is also four stories in height which is out of character and keeping of the area.
By signing this petition, you are requesting Z-10 be denied by the Cobb County Planning Commissioners and the Board of Commissioners.

This facility is not consistent with the other buildings in the area. Approval of this facility could also set a precedent for future apartment homes. Keep this area zoned for single family dwelling only!
I have lived in West Cobb for almost 18 years now. The quiet, residential atmosphere is what attracted us to the area. I'm afraid this sort of construction would drive us out & deter future homeowners from buying in the area.
Please don't allow this! We cannot take any more traffic in that area!I urge you to come to that intersection in the morning 7-9 or evening 4-6 and see the traffic. Also there is a fire station right at the Kroger, stop in and ask them how many wrecks they respond to ALREADY at this intersection.
This project is blatantly against Cobb's land use plan and will put multi-story apartment like living with parking lots adjacent to single family homes and at one of west Cobb's busiest intersections. Please vote against this use for this piece of land.
We do not need/want this type of development in our neighborhood. There are already several communities for this same age group in a 5 mile radius. We do not need more. I do not support this development at all.

I believe that proposal to build a Senior Living Residence is a great idea however, the place should be built in an area of less traffic congestion than the chosen site by the land developers/contractors. It's also a major residential location where there is no need for a nursing home to be built right in the middle of all that. I know there will be a better location for this type of residence and it should be relatively close to medical facilities and should not be built unless there is not a senior living facility within ten or more miles away! My response is NO on this plan!!

This is not the place to build a 4 story building. This land is in the middle of 3-4 big subdivisions and will look like an eye sore to the heavy residential area. I am a realtor. This will hurt the home values for many homes bordering and surrounding the property.
