We need glass recycling desparetly. It is a bad message to the community when the city with the University of Wyoming (conservation) does not glass recycle.
I'd like to think I love in a forward thinking town, laramie was one of the first in the nation to go smoke free, were on top of sustainable energy and not long ago it was just as easy to recycle as it was to throw something out. Laramie desperately needs a glass recycling program!! Let's continue to be a community that thinks outside the box!!
We need to recycle glass in Laramie. I am trying not to purchase any food items packaged in glass jars/bottles. I am also trying to store what I have in my garage until I get too much. If we don't begin another recycle program in Laramie, I guess I'll just throw all my glass waste in the trash.
This is crucial! The local private company Recycling Collection was able to do it, with customers paying. It CAN and MUST be done!
I live downtown and it has become much more difficult to recycle since the bins on first and Garfield were removed. Please bring them back!

This is a huge amount of space to take up in a landfill, not to even begin discussing the energy savings of glass recycling. At the very least couldn't it be collected and stored someplace until someone willing to come haul it off is found?
