Starting January 1st, 2019, glass goes unrecycled in the city of Erie, Pennsylvania. According to the EPA glass containers used for food, pop, beer, wine, and liquor represent the largest source of glass waste.
By signing this petition the undersigned supports the continuation of glass pickup, although not necessarily by Waste Management.

THIS MOMENTUM IS ABSOLUTELY ELECTRIC!! I AM SPEECHLESS AT HOW FAST THIS IS GROWING BECAUSE YOU ALL ARE FIGHTING FOR A GREENER ERIE!! THE IMPACT OF YOUR ENERGY IS CLEARLY FELT AND WE ARE PROVING THAT OUR CITY WANTS CHANGE RIGHT NOW!!

This is very important to us residents who want to keep glass out of the landfill.
Thx for doing this. Sorely needed. Encouraging people to use plastic in lieu of glass is absurd
We use a lot of glass
Don't understand why we can't recycle glass.
Living outside of Waterford, we need to drive what little that is allowed to be taken to Waste Management in Robinson, but only #1 and #2 plastics, tin and aluminum cans. We recycle what we can, but it just kills me to have to throw all the newspapers and junk magazines into our garbage to be buried on "Mt Trashmore".
First grocery stores phased out the use of paper bags to push plastic now discontinuing the recycling of glass in favor of plastic...soon oceans will be the last place for ocean life to thrive. Demand use of paper bags and glass...They are much less costly to recycle than plastic!!!

Recycling as opposed to trashing ANYthing is a good idea. Ending GLASS recycling was a ridiculous thing to do!
