YES!! I support a federal loan guarantee for Vogtle because it will expedite the expansion of zero carbon electricity generating in America. We must go zero carbon now!
The momentum behind this petition is undeniable and the bureaucrats at the Department of Energy have no choice but to take notice. We are forcing them to confront the reality that zero carbon power must be prioritized immediately.

Federal loan guarantees are currently essential to restarting the US large reactor program after 30 years in which no construction was begun on any new commercial reactors following the Three Mile Island incident, even though no one was harmed in the slightest despite a complete core meltdown that was fully contained (not counting tiny initial releases of radioactive vapor to reduce pressure in the containment structure from hot reactor cooling water when a relief valve failed to reset).

From Englewood Florida, certainly support a balanced energy delivery system--which includes a reasonable % of base load, mostly carbon free Nuclear Power

In the current weather havoc, the nuclear power plants are performing flawlessly, with no carbon emmissions. These industrial project create massive high tech job growth throuout the economy.

With all the federal and state mandates for supporting intermittant energy sources like wind and solar, its about time we got some support for power sources that generate zero carbon power 24/7 !!

I wish that any new nuclear plant was a Molten Salt Reactor, proposed years ago by Alvin Weinberg (and on which China and other countries are working).
While waiting for the advanced MSR reactor, I support the nuclear plants available now over the other solutions: Coal and Gas (disastrous for the environment), and the unreliable and chaotic solutions based on Wind & Solar.

Loan guarantees are far superior to outright subsidies, and valuable tools for developing reliable, secure, and near-zero-carbon energy solutions.
